2012

    There are lots of memoies and things have happened in2012. Some of that I fogot, but some of that I still remember. In 2012, I have studied Phlebotomy, and I think it is important for me. I enjoy to practice during the lab time. Students are doing veinpuncture with each others. it is two people in a grounp. One is a paient, the other one should be a phlebotomist. A phlebotomist have to find a vein of a paitent's arm and insert the needle to get some blood into the tube. it is so exciting. Everytime I satistied when I got successful.

   Living with family that is happiness thing. Before I was living by myself, so everything I had to solve by myself. In this year, I moved to live with my family, and my parents were very happy because I stay with them, and they can take care about me. You know, parents who always worry ablout their children, and they always try to keep their children stay with them because they can take care their children all the time.

My Highlights of 2012

     In this moment, almost at the end of 2012, when I think of all things had happened this year, joining the Project Shine was one of the most unforgettable experiences for me. The reason that I applied for this project was not only for my ESL class's credit,  but also for a good practise. I volunteered for an non-credit ESL class at CCSF chinatown campus. I was helping students understand words in English. Sometimes I translated them in Chinese (most of the students in that class were Chinese). I am glad that I can help somebody else by using my knowledge. Sometimes, when you  help others, others also help you.




Black Friday 2012

       My another memorable thing in this year is I went to the Black Friday shopping overnight. Even though I have been the United States for couple years, I had never been to this kind of shopping. However, I did in this year, and I had a lot of fun. In my hometown, China, we have big sale season also, but it is so different from the black friday here in the U.S. People waited on line before stores opened. After they got into the store, they started to shop crazily. If I tell my friends who in China that I had shopped overnight, they must say that I was crazy. Anyway, I very enjoyed the time while I was shopping with my friends on the Black Friday. 

     Time keeps going anyway, just make our lives more interesting!  Nice meeting everyone in 2012! Happy coming 2013!

2012 Highlight

      Time goes fast! 2013 is coming soon! While looking forward to the arrival of the new year, I want to summarize this year first. The 2012 is an unforgetable year for myself because I have my second kids on Feburary. I still remember at the beginning of this year when my second baby was born, I took care of him at home. Now, I almost finish one semester of study. I was so glad to take this ESL 150 class, I have learned a lot knowlege from the books and other class acitivities such as Insight, the softwares which use to do the book projects.

       Another hightlight in this year is that I passed the citizenship test and became the American citizen. That also mean I already left from my hometown for few years. I miss all of my friends and relatives in there! Hope all of us will have a wonderful and exciting year in 2013.

"Life is struggle accept it"

"Learn from the past, look to the future, but live in the present - Petra Nemcova” I think 2012 is a kind of complicated year for me and my family. We passed some problems that we had passed before. I am going to mention it as a major problem that was risky for my education. We have been living in the US about for three and half years. I have never worked in the US due to the fact that I want to take various classes in full time and to take care of my family, but my husband work and cover all expenses. We still couldn’t get affordable house, so we are living in the apartment that the rent is very high. At the beginning of 2012 we had so much hope to get affordable house; however, everything is going worst. In the middle of 2012 I almost quite my education in order to get job and help my husband expenses. Specially, for apartment rent. I remember how we felt sad by situation that our landlord told us about increasing the rent. We had contract for one year, but the end of our contract we have to sign another contract with more rent that we couldn’t afford. I decided to stop my class and start job; fortunately, we move another apartment that we can afford it. When we lived in our country we had own house, so I never got this kind of problem. Even though my family and I passed this unforgettable bad memory and other that I didn’t mention it, we are healthy and happy family. We are going to celebrate the 2013 New Year with better hope.

               

My 2012 highlight

First of all for me Halloween party is the most memorable day that I have spent in 2012. Actually this was the first party I have went since I came USA and it was kick ass party I have ever been. There were a lot of people and most of them were new for me, so it was kind of awkward at first time and many people was talking with someone they know each other. However after party begun and drink, we became all friend and enjoyed our party together. We changed our clothes and went outside and walk around the Downtown. It was awesome because every body were wear different clothes. Some of them were dressed up like horror movie character and some people wear like anime character. After we came back from outside we turned on music and danced each other. The most crazy moment was, when Gangmam style music was on. Everybody stopped everything and dance Gangmam style dance. It was quite amazing for me because even though they are not Korean, most of them were knew how to dance Gangmam style and also many of them knew about how to sing Gangmam style song. It was awesome !!!!!

The second thing was when I went to the Great America with my friends. Great America is located in San Jose and that time it was hella hot so even though I like to go amusement park I didn't like to go there because San Jose is really hot. However, after I arrived there its was not that hot as much I expected. We rode a lot of rides such as roller coaster. As you can see in the picture that ride was the most scary. It's called Drop Zone. It was the one thing that makes me nervous before I ride. Usually, I enjoy riding roller coaster and I don't feel scared about it. However, that ride was totally different. It'g going up about 100 miters and get back on the ground in just less than 1 second. I would highly recommend to you guys to try once but not twice.

My 2012 Highlight

     The time goes by quick! It is already the end of 2012, and do you believe we will be gone 12 days later? Oh, my God! It's the end of the world! However, I don’t believe at all, I think it is impossible to happen. When I look back the year of 2012, I find two highlight things in my life.

    
     First, I bought a car which is my first car in my life. I always work at night; therefore, it has made my life safely for me. Also, it has made my life more convenient than before because I can go anywhere I want.

   
      Second, volunteering for non-credit class is a very valuable experience for me. Project SHINE which gives us a chance to helping people is a very good program for ESL students. I still remember that a coach who spent time to help me improve my English when I was in non-credit class. So I was so happy to become a coach because it gives me an opportunity communicates with different people who like me before. I did my best to help them learning more and more, therefore, I have to thank Project SHINE to give me an opportunity to realize one of my dreams. I will continue to work on it next semester!

 

2012 Highlight

2013 will come exactly in 21 days. How terrible am I? A whole year has ready passed; however I didn't reach some of my goal. Anyway, I'm so thankful that 2012 had passed with all wonderful thing that I did.
The only thing that I proud of that I graduated from high school. Twelve years is a such of a long time that I had been spent in high school. Before graduating from high school, I was extremely expected that I will graduate from high school, then I can entrance to any college and find a job to earn some money which I can freely to use. That's sound so wonderful, but after all of busy time working and studying, I changed my mind, I wanna back to my high school time, it's was beautiful time with all students. When I was in high school, I met my best friend, he helped me out when I first came to US, and we usually to go hang out and help each other. Now, we are in same college, but our schedules are so different, so we are not have much time to meet each other. I hoped I would remember all my wonderful memory at my high school. If I had a wish, I wish I were born at a child once again!!!
