My 2012 highlight

        When I first came to the US, my first goal was to enter a community college.  And it happened 2012 spring semester in CCSF.  I acheived my first goal as a college student in the US.  This was the first step of my dream and I was so excited to be a college student in the US.  These days I've forgotten about how important it was to me.  College life is get used to me, so I think I might pay no attention to study.  This blog posting reminds me and motivates me to study harder. 

        During the summer vacation, I went to Japan with my younger sister and my best friend.  I stayed in Tokyo for 10 days.  My sister and I visited our aunt who lives in Tokyo.  It had been a long time to visit them and it was really glad to meet my family who lives in Japan.  We went to many famous placese for tourlissts.  Such as Diseney land, Deseney sea, and Skytree, etc.  We had a lot of fun even though the weather was boiling.  I can't never forget the time because It was the first time to travel to another country with my best friend and younger sister.  I hope they can visit me during next summer vacation.        

My 2012 Highlight

This year just have few weeks will past to 2013. Some of people say this year is the last year to the world because in 12-21-2012  is the day end of the world.Do you believe it and Do you worry about it? In my opinion I truely wish that is not be true. Another hand, this year also have many big event happened. For example, London Olympic game, Giant won the game.
For me, I think this summer is the best rememberable part of this year. I went back to Hong Kong and visited my friends and my relatives, that was fun. I remembered my friends had made a birthday party for me. At that day, I thought was a meet for my friends, so I came to my friends'home to join them. I got there they had bought all material to cook our dinner. Then some of my friends went to get ready to cook our dinner and the others talke with me. Every time I wanted to ask them " Do you need help?" They will say "Stay in the living room." After we had enjoyed our dinner, then suddenly the light was off and they took a birthday cake for me. It was very surprised. I felt very grateful I could meet them and they were my best friends forever, so that was some of reasons why I though this summer was very rememberable in this year.
At last I am looking forward to 2013. We should forget any bad things in this year and we should think we will have many good happen in 2013, so we need to look forward to it.

2012 Highlight

 I cannot believe it is the end of the year. I feel that time goes by so fast. I've had a lot of memories in this year.

When the first day of 2012, I was at Embarcardero for watcing new year fireworks with my best friend visiting me from Korea. Both of us always have celebrated the first of year since we became best friend. Since I came to America, I missed the first day of 2011 celebration with her.

Thankfully, she visited me for her vacation and celebrating the first day of 2012 with me. So I could hangout with her in San Francisco. If she hadn't visited me, I would have celebrated the new year's day at my place.

I hope she can visit me again and we can celebrate 2013 new year's day together!

In this year, the best exciting thing was taking floristry classes.

I have really wanted to take floristry class since I came to America. When I was learning English, I always imagined that I'm taking a florisry class. I have already knew floristry theory and working in Korean but I have never took any florisrty classes in English before.

Finally, I could have taken florisry classes in this semester!

I have started to study floristry in English. I was nervous when the first day of  one of the floristry classes. However, I have settled down earlier and enjoyed all classes. I did a lot of work with flowers and designed flower arrangements.
I realized that I was missing working with flowers.

I'm getting more excited for next semester classes.
I remind that don't forget my original intention at this moment.

Closing the year is feel sad, but coming the new year makes me more exciting and expecting for my future.

My Daily Life

 

Everyone has different way to spend their daily life.  In my case, watching American drama is one of the most important things in my daly life. I started watching American dramas after I came to America. It helps me to improve my listening skills, learn vocabularies, also learn a lot of expressions that Americans really use. Moreover, it is interesting, so I can learn English without stress. Whatever I do in my house, I just turn on an American drama even though I don't concentrate on that. 

 

Another things that I do every day is calling to my family. I call my mother every day after school although we have time difference. My parents always worry about me and curious about me. Everyday they ask me same questions like how are you? what did you today? something like that. We don't really talk about important things, we just talk about our daily lives. However, that time is the most important moment in my day.   It feels like they are always around me.

They are important in my life

First of all I think eduction is very important for everyone, so either of me. It is part of my life. Why eduction is very important for us? It is because we can learn the knowledge. I think many people have heared before " If you want to get a good job, you must study hard and get a good grade on the school." It is absolutely right, so eduction is very important for us. I am a full time student. I need to go to school every day. Even now I am a ESL student, but I believe that I study more I can be successful. Then Education training is very helpful for me to success.

Next thing is internet, it is very important for us too because every body need to use it for work.Also it is necessity for live too.I use it to go on online in every day. It is very helpful. I can use it to give in touch with my friends, do homework or get posting, and go searching . It makes our life better and easier. Now I am doing this posting that is using the internet too. If we don't have internet, our life will be inconvenient, so it is a part of my life too.

Daniel earns a little money as singing, Eddy works at a garage and Lily Anne and their baby brother Blessing into a hospice, where Blessing soon dies of the AIDS same with his mother passed away. Also, Viki is a reporter, who using the Mawadza family to make something serious, so they need helping from people. 

  Everyone has a dream. Having a dream is really important for everyone. When you are dreaming something for your life, it means you are having good life. The book encourages readers to having a dream. It doesn't matter whatever you are having a dream. The most important thing is the process that when you are trying to achieve your dream. In the process, you can make good human relations and experiences. The genre of the book is human interest, so it is easy to read and understand. Also you can feel great about having completed  like you have done a good job. 

A love for life

     A love for life was written by Penny Hancock and took place in England. Beginning of the book, a women named Fanella was living with her boyfriend named Steven and they decided to adopt a child. However, Steven had an affair with a young woman and left Fanella. After Steven left, she faced many problems when she was adopting a child by herself. Fortunately she adopted 5 years old girl named Ellie. Then her best friend Teresa introduced two guys to Fanella. And she is trying to find a good man for her and Ellie. Who is going to be a Fanella's man?

      I recommend this book. This book isn't difficult to read and easy to understand, so it can help you to improve your reading skills. If you want to improve your reading skills, this is the one you are looking for.

     Do you have a dream? I think everybody has own dream in your life, no matter how big or small. Nelson has his own dream and he is a very nice man. This story is about Nelson how to help people who is suffering HIV and how to come true his dream.
     Nelson's Dream is written by J.M Newsome. The story happened in Kurupenda, the capital of Gomokule, a country in Southern Africa. Main character is called Nelson Mbizi, who returns to his home after three years in the UK studying hotel. His parents is hotel owner and he hear about a family is getting trouble when the Mbizi familys's housekeeper asks his mother for financial help for some children. So he went to Sector D where have some familys are suffered from HIV/AIDS. When he tried to help a family orphans he meets viki, a South African TV presenter. At the same time, he parents leave when his father is auccsed of stealing  government money.
   What's more, Nelson try his best to find different ways to help their family and he has been working with the Sector D community. In addition, they have restored an old bus garage to turn it into a centre and try to treat for HIV/AIDS. Then Daniel earns a little money singing, Eddy gets a job at a garage and Nelson gets Lily Anne and their baby brother Blessing into a hospice, where Blessing soon dies of the AIDS his mother passed on to him. Finally, Nelson and Viki are fall in love together.
       
    
      I think this is a very good and interesting book. I gave 4 stars to this book. Because it is touching me because even though Nelson is live in rich family and his parents disagree with him, he still goes to help poor familys. Also it is a really real book and happened around the world. It show us like nowsday society, lots of health problems such as  HIV/ AIDS arround our life. I think the story of Nelson and Viki's relationship is told against a background of HIV/AIDS and government corruption.

All I Want

All I Want,the book is written by Margartet Johnson. The action takes place in Brighton.Alex Faye is the main character in the story. She is a funny and interesting person. The story is about a love story.
 Do you have a hopping list for your birthbay? Alex Faye has a list abount what things she want to do before older than twenty-nine years old. Unfortunately today is her thirty years old birthbay, and now she has two lists. One is the original list and a new one. In the two of the lists she wants to do the most is her boss,Brad. Also her birthday may be the worst day of her life because at that day has many embarrassing happen on herself. For example, she is late for wor, wears different colours shoes.But whatever she does anything, her tries is going wrong.Finally Alex finds what is the most important thing for her and what is she actually want. 

I am impressed by I think this is a interesting and lovely story. It is because the story have some funny happen and not just some romantic things. That is not only about love. What surprised me is at the beginning of the story Alex have a new list and she don't want to go out have his boyfriend, Barry any more. Also she want to be her boss, Brad's new girlfriend.It is a level 5's book, so it is easy to read. We can learn some new vocabulary too and it is helpful for you to write a essay too.

Staples Center

These photos were took at Staples Center when my second time to Los Angles on February 19,2012.  When I studied at middle-high school in China, I most wanted to with my lover to go to the LA to see Kobe Bryant who is my favorite NBA player play basketball.  It was my only dream at that time.  Now I am in the United States, it doesn't make sense if I didn't go to there. In China, I only could watch Kobe play basketball on the TV live, so when I heard the Chinese leadership would visit the Los Angles and watch the Lakers vs Suns at Staples Center，I flatly decided to buy the ticket and go to there.  When I entered the Staples Center, it was so excited and happy.　The atmosphere was so hot that I could not hear my phone was ring during the match.  Finally I took lots of pictures and had a good time. Of course, the important thing that Kobe has done well and helped the Lakers won the game. I really miss it. I plan to go to there again, you can contact me if you are interested in "the Lakers".

Seongsan Sunrise Peak

This is the picture of Seongsan Ilchulbong, also called Seongsan Sunrise Peak which is one of the most famous places on Jeju island.  Also it is the first landmark to be added in UNESCO's list in Korea.  I grew up 5 mins away from Seongsan Sunrise Peak, so when I was young, I went there almost everyday with my friends.  Seongsan Sunrise Peak was my play ground.  I have a lot of unforgettable memories at there. 
 On the top of Seongsan Sunrise Peak, you can see the most beautiful sunrise and view.  And it only takes 15-20 mins go up to the top.  Moreover, as you can see, in the picture, there are horses.  You can ride a horse, also you can eat fresh sea food as well.   I miss my hometown and I think  I was so lucky to have such a beautiful place near my house.

First Trip in the United State

     Yosemite is one of the largest and least fragmented habitat blocks in the Sierra Nevada. I think Yosemite is one of the amazing places in the United State. I have been there since 2011. Also it was my first trip in the United State. I used to think San Francisco air quality was perfect, however when I arrived there, where make me very confortable. These are lot of primeval forests which have been there for a long time.

 

 

     One, two, three, four,and five!  What are you watching?  and What orderly ranks we were. I took this funny photo last year when I came there. When I saw back this photo, It always make me laughing. I was very happy that we can get together to go travel because that was one of my dreams. I have waited for that chance for a long time. I hope my secomd tirp in the United State will be coming soon,also I want to go with your guys as soon as possible!!

SEACLIFF STATE BEACH 

THE BEST BEACH EVER I LOVE IT!

I TOOK THESE PHOTOS AT SEACLIFF STATE BEACH IN APTOS. BRIEFLY EXPLAIN, SEACLIFF IS A CALIFORNIA STATE BEACH LOCATED OFF HIGHWAY 1 IN THE TOWN OF APTOS ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTH OF SANTA CRUZ, ON STATE PARK DRIVE. THE BEACH IS MOST KNOWN FOR THE CONCRETE SHIP 'PALO ALTO' LYING AT THE END OF A PIER AND IN THE WATER. 

I WENT THERE WITH MY AMERICAN FAMILY AT THIS TIME OF LAST YEAR. WHEN I WAS LIVING IN SANTA CRUZ, I HEARD A LOT ABOUT SEACLIFF STATE BEACH BUT I HAD NEVER BEEN TILL LAST YEAR. FINALLY, I WAS IN SEACLIFF STATE BEACH WHOLE DAY LAST YEAR AND COULD ENJOY THE BEACH, TRAIL, ATMOSPHERE, AND WEATHER. I HAD GREAT TIME AT THERE.

ESPECIALLY I HEARD I LIKE THINGS THAT THE BEACH IS HOME TO MANY TYPES OF BIRDS AND MARINE LIFE, INCLUDING MUSSELS, OCEAN WORMS, SEA STARS, SEA ANEMONES, ROCK CRABS, HARBOR SEALS, ANGLERS, FLOUNDER, MACKEREL, HALIBUT,  PERCH, ANCHOVY, KINGFISH, DARK SEABIRDS, SEA LIONS, DOLPHINS, HARBOR SEALS, SEA OTTERS AND WHALES. THE 'PALO ALTO' SERVES AS A MAIN PLACE FOR MARINE LIFE.

IF YOU'VE NEVER BEEN  SEACLIFF STATE BEACH, I RECOMMEND HIGHLY FOR ONE DAY TRIP. I BET YOU WON'T NEVER REGRET TO VISITSEACLIFF STATE BEACH. BECAUSE SEACLIFF STATE BEACH IS THE BEST BEAUTIFUL BEACH IN CALIFORNIA!

This  two pictures were taken a few years ago in Washington DC around the Jefferson Memorial during the National Cherry Tree festival.  This festival happens ones a year in the spring time. People from all around come to the see and enjoy the beautiful scenery, so it is crowded.  Japan gave theses cherry trees gift to American as a sing of the growing friendship and between them. My friends and I used to go there and have picnic, just enjoy the beautiful day and relax.                                   

One of my favorite places in the U.S is Washington DC. That was the first place that I visited when I arrived here. I lived there for a little while and I liked this city a lot. DC is very diverse place, so I got to meet people from all around and make friends. There are always some interesting attractions around the city including festivals, parks and parties.  There are also free museums that you would have to pay in other cities. Every time I visited I had a good time and it’s always hard to leave.

Unforgettable Place

Why this photo was unforgottable for me? Because I had lots of important memories and moment on this middle school and my class which was including each year's Athletic Meets and important exam to high school. Even though just 3 years, It was an important in my life.. At that 3 years. I met lots of real friends. From the same class, we studied, played, hard-working together, and faced to exam that we reviewed together.!! When I went to school, I rode my bike with my friend. Even though everyday I needed to ride to school by half hour or more, I enjoyed it with my friend. In addition, At the last year in high shcool,we needed to go to school at night. And We always went out to eat, and studied at classroom together.  what's wonderful night at school!!! From this high school, We experienced a lot.!

First of all, this is a playground that we used to hold athletic competition and PE class. I remembered one semester, our class joined athletic competition, and I joined it for every semester too. From that competition, I could see that we did well for our own class.we tried our best to won prize for our class. Even though they felt tired and wanted to give up, we all classmates were with them and gave them encourge during competition. As you can see from this photo, all the athlete were running fast and tried to over others. Even if they lost, they still number 1 on our heart,!! they won their confident and spirit!!

In general. we had a travelled when we graduated from high shcool. I didn't forget that day because it was first time that I went to travel with my class and teacher. I love them and my high school.!!when I was a child, I expected I could go to amusement. What was a wonderful day to me!!!  Lots of memories in my heart forever. Never delete!!! That's why I said high school was important in my life.!! I knew everyone had unforgettable in their life.!!!

❤❤  My little bedroom in China、

       I have been the US. for 2 years and 2 months. I miss my home town, I miss my relatives, I miss my friends, and I miss my bedroom. The photo that  I post is my little bedroom in China. Althoughthat is only a  ordinary place, it has a special meaning for me and it's unforgettable to me. Unfortunately, I can't find any photos of my whole bedroom, so I just post one that is only specific show my bed. My bed is a little bit messy. I remember at that time, because of I felt bored and just took this photo, so I didn't care about my bed was messy or not. I remember that photo took on July 17th,2008. Actually, I think I am a crazy person because I take photos all the time. Especially I like to take photos of my life. No matter a small thing or small event, like some food that I ate or some thing that I bought. I would like to take photos of that and share with my friends. The reason of why I like to take photos is I think that photo is the only way can lock up my memory. After many years later, when I look back my albums, I believe that it will bring me lots of fun and moved.

      Although it is not a beautiful place, I cherish it very much. It has lots of my memories. Although the photo didn't show much of my bedroom, I can describe a little bit. There are a book desk, computer desk, clothes closet, computer, television, DVD player, air conditioner and the bed that you saw. Even if I don't look at this photo, I always remember the things that happened in this small room. Chinese' s summer usually hot, especially at the day time. That's why in summer I perfer to stay at home with my mom and my younger brother at the day time. We used to watch movies together in my bedroom and I used to talk my secret to my mom. No matter it is happy or upset, at that time I always shared to my mom and she always was serious to listen to me. I remember once, I was really upset and I cried, also I locked my bedroom's door. My mon was worried and knocked the door, she asked me what happened and tried to let me opened the door. After a few moment, I opened the door and she just hugged me. At that moment, I felt so warm, it was not because of the body's temperature, it was because of after I attended middle school, that was my mom first time to hug me.I remember I usually slept with my mom when I was a child, but when I grow up, not so much. The reason also because of I left my city, and attended school in the other city. Therefore, I didn't have much time to stay at home, but when I went home on weekend, my mom usually came to sleep with me, and she always asked me about my school life and my study. No matter it has been for many years from that time to now, and no matter I am not in China now, the memory of that is still  here. I believe that I will never forget it. My dearest MAMA, I love you so much.!!     ❤ ❤

 

 

My Wonderful Birthday's Dinner

My favorite steak restaurant which is Harris'  in the SF.  I invited to take my friends to this restaurant where is 2100 Van Ness Ave,San Francisco for his 22nd birthday dinner. We came here about a year ago for my birthday and my friends enjoyed it. , I like the ambiance of the restaurant. It's very classy so my friends dressed up.  We were definitely the youngest people there. Our waiter was so friendly! Always making sure that we were doing okay and that we enjoyed our food.  I forgot what we ordered but it was good. As an appetizer we ordered the oysters. The sauces that came with it were delicious. I ordered the salmon and a side of asparagus, and I  ordered steaks for everyone. We all enjoyed our food! As I went to the bathroom, I told the waiter it was my birthday and he brought me a chocolate cake which we devoured in like a minute.  After we finished our dinner, our waiter help us to take this photo that was memorable. It's really nice night for my 22nd birthday!!  Expensive, but worth it. My friends couldn't stop talking about the food and customer service. I'll come here again... when I have some money.

My American Family

Here is my American family photo. Of course, I have 'real family' in Korea. Both of family photos are on my desk, so I see all of them everyday. I love both of family. And I always miss them.

The reason that why I post this photo on the blog instead of my real family is my American family is like same with my real family. In the photo, the married couple is not like my parents but they are like my parents in America. It sounds like little bit strange but it is true.

I've been in America for 2 years. When I came to America, I settled down in Santa Cruz for learning English. In first month, I was living with UCSC students in the dorm. I thought it would be good for improving my English but it was my mistake with some reasons. So, I looked for host family and I could find them. They were never having an International student before so I became the first student for them. And then I was living with them for 9 moths.

During the 9 moths, we had made good memories and got to know each other. We've become family. They always worry about me and want to help me. I feel they are like my parents. I always miss them and thank for them. Now, they are having 8th student and when I visit them we always take family photo. I never get feel lonely because I have family in America. I can say I'm LUCKY for sure!

My Blurry Memory

      I believe everyone have their own childhood's photo, and I have one too. It also bring us a lot of memories. This photo was taken by my neighbourhood. It was about a few years ago. This photo was including two family's members.  It was hard for me to remember how was my childhood because my memoey was poor. This photo was very important for me because it was unique.The guy in the middle was my elder brother, and I was behind him. My brother and I showed the gesture "V" when we took the photo. left guy and right guy were brother. They were my neighbourhood's sons. We often played together. We looked like brothers. When I saw this picture, I could remind of my childhood of my life. That's so cool for me. Although I couldn't remember all the memories of my childhood, I still felt happy.
   
     In this photo, you can see we are so happy. I think nothing is better than our childhood's memory, and it is very valuable for everyone. It will always stay in our memory, and that is our valuable property. Also, I still keeping this photo in my wallet.
