I am not alone

  Everyone has a place can make them warm. This photo was taken a couple months ago when I traveled in SF with my friends. Honestly, this was my first time to have a trip in SF, even though I live in here. I immigrated to the US less than 2 years. I didn't have a lot of friends in the US. There were only jobs and study in my life, so I usually felt bored and lonely. Fortunately, I knew more and more friends in the US gradually. We often have fun together when we have leisure time. A couple months ago, we had a short trip in SF. After the wonderful trip, I think I am not alone anymore. The place always reminds me that I had some wonderful memory with my new friends, so I won’t forget the place forever.

  The place in the photo is Sutro Baths, which is one of famous places in SF. It was established in 1896, and it was a largest indoor public swimming pool in the world in almost 100 years ago. However, the amazing pool was destroyed by fire in 1966. All the remains of the site are concrete walls, some stairs and passageways, but when I saw these ruins on a hill, I can image how beautiful it is before it was destroy. The place still fills with mystery, history and fantastic views. I really want to go back to the period which wasn't destroyed, and enjoy its luxury.  

  Sutro Bath House is not only its history and beauty attract me but also I had the unforgettable moment at this place. That was a foggy day. My friends and I brought some food to have a picnic in Ocean Beach. The food wasn't really, but all of the food was made by ourselves. We shared our feeling about living in a new place while we were enjoying the food. All of us missed the lives of our hometown, but we needed to face the reality. We encouraged each other to build new lives in a new place. After the sharing, we walked to Sutro Baths, and took some photos. We read its history, and amazed the great ruins.

  As you can see, the Sutro Bath gave me some wonderful memory with my new friends, so I won’t forget it forever. Sutro Baths is my first place for traveling after I came to the US. When I see the photo, I always feel warm, and I am not alone. It give me energy to move forward.
