The Way Home

Review by Kenneth
This book entitled " The Way Home" was written by Sue Leather. It has eight different short stories and each of the title has a new character, new scene, new events, and a new situation. The first title " The Way Home" was about Alex Kramer who was returning to England to confront her past because when she was a child she had discovered that her mother had an affair with someone and had been unfaithful to her father."The Nature of Truth" was about a novelist named, Annie who had met her old friend in Italy. "Just The Facts" was about a new reporter in Texas and covered a case about an execution of Gary Pearson but cannot do anything to stop the execution even though the victim was innocent. "Water In the Dessert" was about Lee who gave Ted a ride after fixing her truck. During their journey, Lee talked about her past that she was married to a violent man and wanted to kill her husband, but unfortunately, Ted had killed her husband which she doesn't know about, but Ted told her about it and surprisingly, Lee was happy to know that her husband was dead."The Knowledge" was about a taxi driver Ricky who picks up a Chinese man, claiming that he was Bruce Lee. After that, the man claiming that he was Bruce Lee showed Ricky his skills and Ricky thought of "how could he have skills like Bruce Lee". "Fifteen Hundred Words" was about Abi who has been to see the Tokyo Story, a famous Japanese films. "North See Eyes" was a bout an English man who fell in love with a beautiful tram driver. "The End Point" was about three people who meet at the Lone Star motel for the first time.

After reading the whole book, I realized that despite of all the different scenes, events, characters in this book, I was actually glad to read all the interesting stories. I'd say that this book is interesting although it has eight different stories because every title has a short stories which is easy to comprehend. This book is very interesting and I highly recommend this for the enthusiastic readers out there because the book doesn't only contain one story, but eight different stories and I think this is like reading eight different books instead of one.
