A place is so important to me

I choose this piture because I really really like it! This is my high school, I studied at this high school 6 years. I never forgot this 6 years because I thought I learned a lot in this school, and learned how to be friendly with friends. In my high school, I am good at History and Math, and I usually got the high grade from my history test. I remember one times, it was final, I got the NO 1 in my history test in that high school.
Nowadays, when I reach back, I was so proud of went to that shool to study. If time can change, I want to go back to my high school to study one more time, and I can earn more happinese in that place.  I think that place is so important to me, I love my teachers and my friends from my high school.

My Wonderful Birthday's Dinner

My favorite steak restaurant which is Harris'  in the SF.  I invited to take my friends to this restaurant where is 2100 Van Ness Ave,San Francisco for his 22nd birthday dinner. We came here about a year ago for my birthday and my friends enjoyed it. , I like the ambiance of the restaurant. It's very classy so my friends dressed up.  We were definitely the youngest people there. Our waiter was so friendly! Always making sure that we were doing okay and that we enjoyed our food.  I forgot what we ordered but it was good. As an appetizer we ordered the oysters. The sauces that came with it were delicious. I ordered the salmon and a side of asparagus, and I  ordered steaks for everyone. We all enjoyed our food! As I went to the bathroom, I told the waiter it was my birthday and he brought me a chocolate cake which we devoured in like a minute.  After we finished our dinner, our waiter help us to take this photo that was memorable. It's really nice night for my 22nd birthday!!  Expensive, but worth it. My friends couldn't stop talking about the food and customer service. I'll come here again... when I have some money.

My American Family

Here is my American family photo. Of course, I have 'real family' in Korea. Both of family photos are on my desk, so I see all of them everyday. I love both of family. And I always miss them.

The reason that why I post this photo on the blog instead of my real family is my American family is like same with my real family. In the photo, the married couple is not like my parents but they are like my parents in America. It sounds like little bit strange but it is true.

I've been in America for 2 years. When I came to America, I settled down in Santa Cruz for learning English. In first month, I was living with UCSC students in the dorm. I thought it would be good for improving my English but it was my mistake with some reasons. So, I looked for host family and I could find them. They were never having an International student before so I became the first student for them. And then I was living with them for 9 moths.

During the 9 moths, we had made good memories and got to know each other. We've become family. They always worry about me and want to help me. I feel they are like my parents. I always miss them and thank for them. Now, they are having 8th student and when I visit them we always take family photo. I never get feel lonely because I have family in America. I can say I'm LUCKY for sure!

Visited

This photo took about one year ago when my grandma visited my siblings and I in San Francisco. As you can see, we brought her to Ghiradelli Square. I remembered when she was here, my grandma always said " it is so cold in San Francisco". My siblings and I brought her to Golden Gate Bridge after she was here about one week, and she told us that she like to go there, so before she left San Francisco; she wanted us to bring her there one more time.
Every time when I see this picture, I miss her very much because when I was in high school in Thailand, I spent a lot of my time with my grandma, and I always made her angry. I know that she is so lonely because when I was in Thailand, I used to bring her to the park every weekend to meet her senior friends. Before I came to the US, my oldest sister helped me everything until I am in San Francisco, and I had heard that my grandma was so angry at my oldest sister, so my grandma did not talk to her about a year. Finally, if you ask me that which photo am I going to cherish, I will always say THIS PHOTO.

A Cherish Picture

Today I finally have time to blog about a picture I cherish of. I am not a big fan of taking pictures when I was little and even now. But I do think everyone would have pictures they are cherish of, at lease one. For me, there is one picture that I really cherish.
The picture above was taken on Chung Yeung Festival in 1992. This original photo is in my house in China now. On the left of the picture is my grandma, the little girl next to her is my older sister. The little boy that is drinking coconut milk in the front is me. And my mother is standing next to me. At the top of the picture there is a dragon head. This picture was taken on the top of the mountain. It is customary to climb a high mountain and fly a kite on Chung Yeung Festival.
Right now, two of the people in the picture are living on the other side of the world. I miss them so much, I hope I can see them soon.

2011 new year's party

This is a photo that I always cherish. It's in my computer, ipad, also it's on my desk. The woman in the left side of the photo is one of my best friends Wendy, who is now live in Taiwan. We took this photo when we were invited to 2011 new year's party. Our first American friends Ren and Gabriel threw the party at Hayatt hotel and we were so excited to be there. She is wearing the other friend's sunglasses and we looks so happy.

We've known each other since 2010. She was my first Korean roommate, also my first Korean friend in SF. We went to same language school, and we were roommate, so we spent most time together for a year but we never fought. We were like twince. I really miss her. She promised to come back with her boy friend when she went back to Korea and  now she is planning to come next year. I can't wait to meet her.

Every time I see it, I think of the time we spent together in San Francisco.  I love this photo.

The Kaaba

The Kaaba is located in Saudi Arabia and is considered the center of Muslims world. It is an ancient and
simple structure that has been for many years. The Kaaba is covered with a black silk cloth which is embroidered in gold with verses from the Qur'an. Kaaba is a large stone structure constituting a single room. It is the holiest building in Islam.

Muslims have to go to Kaaba once in their life if they have the money. They go there for pilgrimage. There are millions of Muslims go there to do this religious event. This religious pilgrimage occurs every year, and a lot of people travel from all over the world to go to Mecca where Kaaba is located. Mecca is the city in Saudi Arabia.

This is the place that I wish in some days to go there and to be a member of the people there. I really like this place because it is a comfortable and quiet place. I have relatives who went to Kaaba last year. They said that they enjoyed everything there and had a religious time. They spent most of their time praying.

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places i have visited. Lake Tahoe is located on the western side of the united states. it actually borders both California and Nevada. last summer, i went there with my sister and her friends. we want by drive. the view looking down on the way to Lake Tahoe is on of my favorite  there are several spots along the road to stop, but the one with the large parking area is the best.

the best part of Lake Tahoe is the nature itself. it is bright blue. it is just shine . the color of the water against the greenery around the lake is awesome we stopped at emerald bay while exploring the Tahoe shore. the most amazing view. the water looked so beautiful  I could look at it for hours and i wonder about the amazingly work of God..

New Beginning !!!

Since I was a child, I envisioned my wedding dress, walking down the aisle to meet my groom, my first kiss as a married couple, the first time someone called me Mr. and Mrs., my first dance together, the toast that my best friend will give, watching my family and closest friends dancing to my favorite music, and at last, my head off to have my dream honeymoon. My wedding day was special, it was like I dreamt it. I loved every second with my new husband, and laughed about every details that went wrong. I feel that since i got marry many things have changed in a good way about me; I am a better person, and have many dreams and plans for the future. I keep this photo in my living room to remind me of how lucky I am to have a person by my side to keep me motivated in life, and loves me for who I am.

My Blurry Memory

I believe everyone have their own childhood's photo, and I have one too. It also bring us a lot of memories. This photo was taken by my neighbourhood. It was about a few years ago. This photo was including two family's members.  It was hard for me to remember how was my childhood because my memoey was poor. This photo was very important for me because it was unique. The guy in the middle was my elder brother, and I was behind him. My brother and I showed the gesture "V" when we took the photo. left guy and right guy were brother. They were my neighbourhood's sons. We often played together. We looked like brothers. When I saw this picture, I could remind of my childhood of my life. That's so cool for me. Although I couldn't remember all the memories of my childhood, I still felt happy.

In this photo, you can see we are so happy. I think nothing is better than our childhood's memory, and it is very valuable for everyone. It will always stay in our memory, and that is our valuable property. Also, I still keeping this photo in my wallet.

San Francisco

Pictures are good memories. The picture bellow shows it. I took it when I was writing an article about San Francisco for a gay travel magazine. The spot in the picture called: The San Francisco Palace of Arts, is one of the most beautiful places I ever been.

To me, this picture is unforgettable because I was trying new equipment that I just bought for my camera. And also, as you can see, there are some swans and ducks in the lake, which I love.
The architecture of the building is extremely impressive. Its structure is originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. It is the only one still situated on its original site, and it was rebuilt in 1965, and renovation of the lagoon, walkways, and a seismic retrofit were completed in early 2009.

I took it last April, while I was walking, near Golden Gate Bridge. At that moment I saw many people in the area, such as: artists, business people, tourists, photographers, and the press. They were coming from different cities of the United States and some of them were from San Francisco and they just want to relax.

My Family

My Lovely Children and I!

I took this picture in 1994 in Jordan with my wonderful children. This picture is very important for me because I was with my children. Now I live with my youngest son, my youngest daughter is married and she live with her husband in South San Francisco, but my oldest son and my oldest daughter live in Jordan. I miss them all , but I am proud of my children. My children are very nice. They have different personalities, but I love them all . My youngest daughter has two kids, so I love them so much. My youngest children live in the United States, but my oldest children still live in Jordan.  It is hard to live far away of your children. I can't stand the life, which is split two parts, one part is here and another one is overseas. I didn't see my children, who live in Jordan, for more than three years. Although we talked over Skype, I don't know everything that they are experiencing in their lives, such as how they are feeling about their lives. When I came to the United States, I was really sad because still I have two children live without me. I moved to Jordan when I was 19 years old and  stayed there more than 24 years. However, I lived in Palestine for  19 years, in Jordan for 24 years, and in the United States for 6 years, but I enjoyed my time when I had lived with my all children in Jordan. Amazing years of my life have been spent with my children. I like this saying" Your children will see what you're all about by what you live rather than what you say." Wayne Dyer.

las vegas

Since i came to U.S., the first place that i went to travel is Las Vegas, the gambol city. All i can say this city is amazing,it has everything that you can imagine. There are not just the casino, there are many intersting building, such as music fountain, disney land,Paris iron tower...many of them maybe just a copy of the real one, but they look like the same. In this picture i take from shopping mall, i think it imitate the Rome myth, you can see many meth statue around the wall, and they draw the sky, when you look up, you will feel the cloud is moving.
It's valueable for me because i never been other place before, and right here i saw many famous building in other countries.i love to travel, this city gives me more idea that where i plan to go in the future.i love this city, the only pity is the hot weather, but i will go back to this city and visit the place that i didn't look over yet.

The Memories Never Fade Away

I like to get travel with my friends, and I like to take some pictures during my travel times. I took this picture when we taking car to Macao in the summer holiday of 2012. The lovely girl sat next to me is my best friend, Gwen. In this summer, we got travel to China, and only have teenage people. Although it makes me freedom, I should have to make the plans for myself and I must care a lot of my stuff by my own. If I get travel with my parents, I don’t need to do it and I just need to enjoy my journey.

That was my first time get travel to China after I moved to San Francisco. Have many things were change already. Like some stores, building, and people were become different, so it made me feel amiable, and strange. People always said “You born here, and why you cannot say well on your hometown language?” to me. My parents moved to another city after they got marry. So I was not born in my hometown and I’m not always speaking my hometown language at home or outside. Because my parents speak one kind of dialect, I used another dialect talk with friends, and teachers teach mandarin at school, it made me feel horrible in Chinese language. Gwen was born in my hometown, and she speaks well our hometown language, so she taught me a lot that city dialect to me. And she told me many things about our hometown; she was very nice to take me go around with this city.

At that time, even the weather was torridness like a hell, I saw the summer-blue sky, the lovely white cloud floated in the sky. I miss that weather, and I want to feel again the hot weather. I went to many cities at these two months in the summer holiday, and I took a lot of pictures there with Gwen. Although we took many pictures, Gwen’s boyfriend is not a good photographer so I don’t want upload these pictures on my blog. That’s a unforgettable summer time.

My niece

This is one of the most important photo for me. This is a photo about my little niece. I haven't met her until i came to the United State two years ago. This is the first photo I took for her when I came to my cousin's house in San Francisco. The photo is about my niece showed me her new toy name mimi and how to play it.

At that day, when she just met me, she stare crying because she felt strange about me. Their house was full of toys. I was surprised that my little niece was so cute. After I played with her for a while, she was very happy and liked to play with me. She showed me her toys and showed me how to play it. She said" this is my mimi, this is my car." Her speaking manner was very cute because she was 18 months old and was learning talking. When she was speaking English, her mother told her to speak Chinese because her parents want her to learn Chinese at home. But she can't express what she meant. When she was speak Chinese, she used to including some English words in one sentence. When we wanted to go home in the evening, she didn't let us go because she likes a lot of people play with her. Finally, she say goodbye to us because her mother told her that we will play with her tomorrow.

Twins In My Family

In my family, we have a part of twins. Who are they? They are my mother and my auntie. Many people said, they both two look like, but I do not think so. I remember my mother told me, when I was a child, my cousin often knew my mother as his mother. That was very funny. My mother said, I did not do that because when I was a baby I can distinguish between which one is my mother and which one is my auntie.

This photo was taken in September this year because that day was their 43-year-old birthday. We went to eat hot pot to hold them celebrate party. Maybe they both twins, they both grew very close, although sometimes quarrel, but never not ignore each other. For now, they call each other almost every day. My mother told me that they both can feel each other. Once time, my auntie had something happen, my mother can feel it. That is really amazing. Do you think they both look like?

The perfect christmas family picture

This picture is really important for me because it show me how much you need your family in your life.

We took this picture on Christmas Eve of 2011; we took this picture because we wanted to have something that we always remember us how happy we were that day. I also chose this picture because is the most that I like.  We have like a tradition I would say, that every Christmas we would take the family picture and we would put it in a frame with the other that we had taken before.

I also chose this photo because I wanted to share how happy I am to have a family like them with me. That are always there supporting me no matter what. And I love all them with all my heart.

Changes in my life

In this picture, I have changed a lot. I wanted to keep the different period of me because I would like to compare my changes. Most of the time, we just think how to change the world but have you ever thought how to change yourself? Here in my speech, I will show you some changes in my life. Believe it or not, I used to be such a shy person in my senior school that even a common conversation with a single girl would make my face turm red. And to make things worse, I did  not know how to turn to my teachers for help. At that time, I paid no attention.to communication. Why? You may ask?

Things began to change after I moved to S.F. I took a part time job as a cook. And it is just that choice, which has been the turning point in my life.Through working, I learned how to get on well with my coworkers, I learned how to be their good colleagues and sincere friend. When working, I tried to make me learn something. When playing, I tried to join them. In some ways,they had been my teachers and changed me a lot. From then on, I became more and more open
-minded and began to turn on a new look.
After entering our university, I continue to come to the English corner every day to talk with my foreign teachers and friends. They gave me a lot of encouragement and helped me to be a brave and confident person. Right now, even you ask me to talk with a group of girls in the English corner, I will never feel embarrassed. Instead of being shy, I am active to open any topic and express my ideas in a humorous way. I begin to enjoy life because I know that I am making progress.
At the same time, I have taken part in many activities such as sports meeting and English speech competitions. Sometimes I succeeded but sometimes I failed. You know, it does not matter. This is real life full of changes. I constantly tell myself that I should seize each precious opportunity to learn from the changes, learn from life.

My cousin and I

This is one of my cherish photo in my life. I took this picture with my little cousin in China when we were very young. This picture is very valuable for me because it is few photos I took with my cousin during the Chinese New Year. This was my anti house. I was in the middle of the photo who was hugging a doll and cute baby, and the tree next to me is called Kumquat tree. This is one of the traditional stuff in Chinese New Year. We believe that it can bring us good luck and money next year; we buy it for decoration during Chinese New Year all the time.
In the photo, I was little thin and happy, and my little cousin seem scaring. However, now I am little fat, my cousin becomes a beautiful and cultured girl. We love each other even though I immigrant to San Francisco. That is a very valuable photo for me, and I keep this photo in my photo album and computer. When I saw this photo, I always remember a lot of things with her.
I cherish and treasure this photo because I think childhood is very valuable, we cannot return, and it reminds me we have already grown up. I will keep this photo all of my life.

My hometown

This is one of famous place  in my hometown. I took this picture several year ago when I live in China. I remember I took this picture in the morning. So there are nobody in the street. The street are very clean as picture we seen. This place is call a special street in my hometown. There are many people shopping in the evening. Most of stores are open in the noon when everybody go to work. There are many different store in this street which call buss business city.  Especially in the weekend or some special date, it become a blooming street in the city, and many young people are walk down this street and shop different kinds of cloths.
Now maybe there are some change in this street, but I believe it will be more beautiful and more stores in the city.  I miss my home town so much, I hope I will comeback next summer.

Great time!!!

Ha ha ha ha .... I can't stop laughing whenever I see this picture. This picture brought back my great memory with my cousins. My older cousin who took this picture took me around San Francisco when I first came to America. I still remembered that was my second week in America, then we celebrated by a big trip around San Francisco. We went to many different places like Japan town, China town, downtown, fisherman craft, ocean beach, Golden Gate park and some other places. It helped me know more about this beautiful city, furthermore, I also had a great time with my cousin who also is my best friend. And we were re-union after 2 years because she have been here for 2 years before I came. Actually we have lots of things to say about our old friends in our hometown, and that was so awesome.
At you see, this picture is absolutely perfect, however we were re-take it for more than 20 times. We tried to get the perfect one, otherwise not give up easier is our quote. And for sure, no one can imagine how funny was happened back then, we talked, laughed, scolded and argument each other. Unfortunately all these things make me deeply missed my friends so much; I just suddenly thought I was like that with my friends. And I know I missed all the time I and my friends was gather together; I missed when we were supposed to do our group project but we ate and talked more than working; I missed when we traveled together; I missed when we went hang out around; I missed when we gather at my house for party on Lunar New Year, Christmas, Mid- Autumn festival; I missed when we were celebrate for our birthday...Totally I missed everything that was belong to us.
Hope I can see you someday my friends!!!!

A never separation of lovers

We have been together about 80 more days, in these day, we love each other, cherish each other. Sometimes, we may quarrel, but after quarrel, we cherish each other more, and understand more. For example, in one time, when I got sick, I slept in my bed and felt terrible. She came to my house, and cooked the congee for me, and also gave me a cup of hot water and pills.

I know, if we want to always together, we need each other to sentiment sincere, and also need feelings selfless dedication. Love, is need time and sincere to training. I hope we can be together in our life. Now we live together, and our parents are agree us together, I think I will do my best to keep this relationship longer and longer. I hope that people can find what they love.

First cruise trip

This is one of my favorite photo because it reminds me a lot of good memories. It is the first cruise trip to Alaska with my friends and our families. We planed the trip for half year, so we were so exciting when we got on the cruise ship. It took 5 days to reach the second port --Juneau, Alaska where the place show in the photo. I took this photo when we were taking the tramway to ride up Mount Roberts. The 60-passengers tram only took six minutes to rise to just under 1,800 feet,  and all of us stood on the gondola platform and enjoyed the views of the city and the forest.
Once we arrived at the top we slso visited the Mountain House which including a screening of "Seeing Daylight", a complimentary 18 minutes movie shows in their theater to introduce the history of the city. All of us had a great time in Alaska, and that's why I cherish this photo.

Played with Two Kids

.
I like this picture so much because the kids on the picture made me feel happy. The little girl was my niece who was  sitting on my back named Fangfang. When I came to her house, she usually ask me to carry her. At that day, I got a super big "pokemon " from six flat and  sent it to these two kids. While I was bringing it to their house, they felt so exciting. To my surprised, they not only asked me for sitting on my back but also they wanted the "pokemon" doing the same thing.

During playing game with these two kids, I thought i needed to take a picture with them. When I was taking the picture, Dongdong, my little nephew sitting on the sofa who was laughing at me because I was carrying his sister and the "pokemon". So far, I think it is a very funny picture i kept it. Also, I hope to play more games with these two kids.

Stickers Phase

I believe everyone has their own special photos in the life. This is my favorite photo that I had. I took with my cousin in Japan town. Compare now, I thought many people will not take stickers phase because most people use phone and camera. But when I was a child, I liked taking sticker phase in China. I went there with my friends when we fininshed the school and weekend. At that time, It was very popular trend. Many people went there because we didn't have a good quality camera to take a photo even we can keep it forever. I remembered that when I was in high school, most students were taking stickers phase with others and keep it in their wallets. For the instance, We used to exchange stickers phase to others when we graduated. We thought it was very cherish and fun. In addition, I moved to USA, I thought I couldn't take stickers phase anymore because it just appeared in China not in foreign country. One day my cousin brought me to Japan Town, I saw stickers phase store. I was so expectly to take a stickers phase here, I want to konw how different from my country. Then we took together, made different pose and funny face. After that, I put those in my wallet. when I opened my wallet, it reminded me that we had a happy day together and my best friend in China. When I moved to USA, I didn't have any friend. So we go out together, play together, and share with others. When I have trouble, they alway be with me, even thought they don't know how to help me. Because we all new immigrant and need to face lots of things, like study, work, and environment. When I face to new environment, they all be with me to overcome. Then we alway encourage to each others. We are lovely cousin and family. I love them! That's why I love this photo so much. It is very important to me.When I saw this photo, I know I'm not alone, I have my family and my friends.!!!!

2011's Summer

This is one of my favorite photo. Then you will ask why I will choose it?  Because I remember I took it with my friends in 2011's summer. They were my classmates in Hong Kong. First  reason was we went to eat dinner with our college teacher in that day . I were very nerous and excitied, because I had long time no see to my teacher. We were talking to each other, when we ate dinner. Also my teaher was very kind, because he paid the price for us. Then we went to eat dessert.

The second reason was I had seen lots of my classmates when we went to eat dessert .We were long time no see too. It is because they went to other country to continue their study such as me, so that night was a great gathering and we were very happy. Every time when I saw this photo I will remember the past. I studied with them, played with them and work with them. Those were my reasons why I choose that photo to post.It had contained many memory of our college's year.

Egg thief at home

These pictures show a story, they are tell how my dogs steal eggs from my plate. In the first one, you can see two eggs in each plate, I made them for my breakfast. When I went back to kitchen to get some juice, my dogs found some good smell and they were looking around house, finally, they found eggs in the table.( please see the 2nd picture). In the 3rd one, maybe you found one egg was missing. where was it? please see the next one. It was laying on the floor. What happened? The last one will show you the yolk of the egg was eaten by dogs. I think my dogs are spoiled, how can dogs only eat yolk?

This set of picture is very interesting to me. Every time when I saw the picture I was laughing. It is brings me a lot of fun. Actually,I did not punish them when I have seen this story happened. They are so cute that make me can not punish them. If you have seen my blog in insight, you will agree with me how cute they are. I hope everyone enjoy with this story when you see it.

Stormy Weather

This picture was taken four years ago in Philadelphia in the winter.  It was Saturday and it had been snowing all night and day.  The snow was 12 inches high, and all the roads and trees were covered with snow.  It was a beautiful scene.  Neither cars nor buses were on the street.  My boyfriend at the time and I decided to go outside and play in the snow. We wore appropriate clothing to stay warm.  On the way to the park, we stopped to buy an inner tube so we could slide down the hill in the park.  The park was packed with both children and adults.  We wanted to avoid the crowded part of the park and stay in a quiet area, so we chose an alternative activity and decided to build snow men instead.
It was very cold outside. We wore gloves and we start working on the snowmen. I had never built snowmen before, so I dot an explanation of how to create one.  We added pieces of wood to make a face, and we even gave him hair. We had a really good time so we decided to continue building. We created a pet to accompany the snowman.  It was a cat or maybe a dog, I still can’t really tell.  This is a picture of our creation.  Once we were done with our works of art, we went to the hill to slide on our tube.

My lovely dogs!

This is the photo I have been kept in my wallet for about 8 years. The bigger dog in the photo name is MaoMao. The first time I met him, he was only 4 months old, just like the little one in the photo, who is MaoMao's daughter, BaoBao. I have many my dog's photos, this is definitely the best one I have. No one posed them, but they amazingly posed themselves the selfsame way. I was just so lucky could catch this moment.
The reason that I keep this photo in my wallet is I love dogs, and for me MaoMao of cause is the best, he just like my child. Now he is about 11 years old already, for a dog this age is really old. I have been studying in U.S. for 4 years and couldn't go back to visit even once, this means 4 years I couldn't see him. I miss him so much. Now MaoMao is stay with my parents, and BaoBao is stay with my cousin. These days my mom keeps telling me MaoMao is really getting older and weaker due to his age. Hope he can keep healthy and wait me back to China.

5 Miles Hiking

Hiking! Does everyone like it? If ask me, I don't know? I just know when I finished 5 miles hiking, I looked like not alive. There are my boyfriend, two friends, and two new friends in the photo. Of course, I was the last one, when we were hiking, but before the 3 miles of hiking, I was not on the last, and I had lots of energy, such as taking, laughing, and chasing. The time past the time, I felt tired, but they could still keep walking fast and didn't feel tired, when we were hiking almost 3 miles already. I tried to follow up their step. Al ought I got chased and stayed with them, just few minutes, I lost again. They asked me to get rest, but I said NO because I wanted to finish the hiking trip as soon as possible. I know even if I were rest, I also would still feel tired, so I persisted to continue hiking.
By the time, when we had planning hiking trip, I hadn't known we were hiking for 5 miles so long distance. Fortunately,we finished the hiking trip and I was still alive. Even I felt my feet didn't belong me already, but I could go home finally. After I took a shower, I fell asleep within 3 minutes. Hiking is a good exercise, but if doing over that it is infeasible.

Family United

I chose this picture because it represents my feelings, my thoughts and my heart. The people who are in this picture are my father, my mother, my sister, my brother-in-law, my nephews, my daughter and my husband in Colombia 3 years ago. They have a special place in my heart, and they are the most amazing thing that life has given to me. And also, my nephew’s birthday falls on this day, and we had a great time together.  Before that my family and I have never been separated. For all of these reasons, this picture is very important and reminds me of the wonderful memories when I was living in Colombia.

One of these memories is the parties that we had together. My family likes parties. They are very happy and living life with enthusiasm and optimist. Every birthday we celebrate with music, food and our closest friends. Our house is always full of people and life was different. Another thing special about my family is their creativity, every birthday we invented a topic in which people needed to wear special clothing for that topic and we created activities and games for them. In this picture, for example, we wear the uniform of our soccer team, and play soccer, too.  This picture is important to me because it always reminds me of my family. When I feel alone, I look this picture and think for an instant what we did as a family, and the happy and sad moments that we confront in life.  And I know one day we will be together again!

One of my cherish photo

My cousin and I
This is one of the cherish photo in my life. I put it on the first page of my photo album. I think it was taken when I was 1-2 years old. Maybe after I learnt how to walk. It was taken in my grandfather's house, I was on the left of the photo which riding a wooden horse, and my cousin was riding tricycle. My cousin was 10 months younger than me, so when we were young, we always play together even now we still are good friends. When I saw this photo, it will remind me a lot of happiness. We have a lot of fun with each other. One of the interesting things is our grandma always bought us the same dresses or cloths, so when we went out together, people always asked our parent "Were we twins?"

In the photo, I was very fat and looked like a boy, but now I'm skinny. Meanwhile, my cousin was taller than me, and fatter than me. We no longer look the same. Last time, when she went back to China before I immigrant to here, San Francisco, when we went shopping, people thought she was the older sister. That's quite interesting.

That's not a fake photo, it was real. I kept this photo in my photo album, when I saw it, it remind me a lot of things. Actually, we had taken a lot of photos, but this one is the one I like most. Because now, I immigrant to here, and my cousin was in Canada,  we couldn't play together like before, we have our own thing we need to do. Whatever, both of us have a happy life now.

Photos can remind us a lot of things, I like to keep them as a reminder of my mind. When I feel I have a lot of stress, I will bring out my photo album, it will make me feel better and reduce my stress.

Filipino food with my friends !!

This photo is one of my favorite photo I have because it was first time I have tired Filipino food in traditional way in my life. I was so excited that I could try new style of  food however, I was little bit worried when I heard about  I have to eat food with my hand and also it was kind of confusing because in our country we eat food with chopsticks and spoon and I had never tried food with my hand. Beginning,  it seemed strange for me but I have heard that Indian people used to eat food with their hand so I decided to fallow traditional Filipino way to eat food just like "When in Rome, do as the Romans do"

The food was incredulity good that as I thought. We order BBQ such as pork, chicken, fish, and beef . Seriously best BBQ I ever had in my life I think its much better than Korean BBQ. By the way the leaf you can see on the table is same as dishes they do not have separate dishes for the food they just put dishes on the banana leaf. After I got a food actually it was kind of easy for me that to eat with had but it was really really hard to grab rice with my hand because it's small and it was not sticky enough. I think I had really good time at that restaruant at that time and I'm planning to go there again for sure to eat BBQ !!!

My Childhood

My cousins and me

This is one of my favorite photos in my life. We took this photo in 1999 which is I was six years old at that time. I was in the right side of this photo, and the three other girls are my cousins, their names are Kimberly, Connie, and Christine. We took this photo in our hometown where my grandmother lives. You can see that this is a farmland because there is lots of grain behind us. My grandmother grew grain too, and we always help her to harvest grain because that's funny and we liked to do it, but we always mess up more than help our grandmother. I remember one time that we harvested grain, we harvested lots of grain and brought those grain to my grandmother's house. We think that we helped our grandmother a lot, but actually not, because we harvested in the wrong time which is those grain that we harvested was not yet ripe.

In this photo, we were holding each other's hands seems like we were very "good friends", but we were not, we always argue with each others when we were child. This is such as a wonderful memory in my life. Every time I look at this photo, I think of the past that we were child, I think of my grandmother's farmland, and I miss my grandmother a lot because she is still in China, but now we all moved to United States. In U.S here, we don't see each other (my cousins) a lot because we all live in different cities, one of them in New York, the other two are in Fremont and I am in San Francisco.

I love this photo so much and I cherish this photo because I think childhood is very precious, time can not go back, and we are not child anymore. So I think this photo is very important, and now I keep this photo in two different places, I saved it in my computer and I keep one in my album.
